Karla Colletto is a world-renowned swimwear designer who elegantly pairs select materials with cutting-edge manufacturing techniques. She is known for bringing unique fabrics, whimsical cut-outs, and unexpected details to every swimsuit, creating the highest standards of design for swimwear. What we love most is that all of her collection is made in the USA and that her creativity has allowed her to dominate the swimwear industry for the past 25 years.
Colletto’s career began in 1981, when she paired with Lisa Rovan and founded a design company. The women created pieces from sportswear to bridal gowns, but soon noticed that there was a void in contemporary swimwear within the fashion industry. This inspired them to apply their fine manufacturing techniques and haute aesthetic to swimwear.
Colletto’s swimsuits have been featured in Vogue, InStyle, Sports Illustrated, Elle, and can be found at retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman, Saks, Neiman Marcus, Harvey Nichols, and Selfridges, and more. A favorite of stylish A-listers, Colletto’s swimsuits have also been seen on celebrities such as Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, and Serena Williams. The current Spring/Summer 2016 collection introduces criss-crossed, zig-zagged, and fringed details and designed to enhance and flatter every type of figure, making every woman look and feel her best. Even after 25 years, Karla Colletto continues to manufacture all of their swimsuits in America ensuring that each creation is impeccably crafted down to the last detail. Season after season, new innovative textile after new innovative manufacturing technique, Karla Colletto continues to defy the swimwear status quo making American women feel fashionably fabulous, while supporting a great brand made at home.
