Jeff Garner is one of the U.S.’s leading eco couturiers, as well as being one of the most authentic. From dressing supermodels like Gisele Bundchen to musicians Taylor Swift, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus and Kings of Leon, Garner is lighting the way for eco fashion through his line, Prophetik. Showing yearly at events such as London and Vancouver Fashion Weeks, Garner also collaborates with brands like Apple and Griffin, and lends his expertise to organizations such as Suzy Cameron’s Red Carpet Green Dress, and Livia Firth’s Green Carpet Challenge. Garner was recently named one of 40 top artists in the U.S. and his collection placed in the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery last July for the 40 under 40 Exhibition. Inspired by his native Tennessee roots and a childhood spent amongst horses on a farm in rural Franklin with ties to the Civil War, Garner marries his artistic talent with his love of nature. Utilizing fabrics such as organic cotton, hemp and peace-silk, while upcycling one-of-a-kind vintage materials and incorporating them into his garments, Garner also does his own dying on his farm in Tennessee using local flora and fauna. While being an accomplished horseman, Garner is as much at home on a surfboard in his second home of Malibu, CA., Mother Nature always being his daily motivation. From bespoke creations to ready-to-wear intimates, Prophetik can be found at high-end global boutiques like L.A.’s Fred Segal and London’s Eco Age (founded by Colin and Livia Firth); Switzerland, Japan, and coming soon, Nashville – an obvious home for this local boy’s charms.Having co-produced a show with him at London Fashion Week to raise awareness of rhino poaching and extinction with the Lawrence Anthony Foundation, his commitment to both excellence and sustainability is transparent. Rhinos & Runways subsequently became a short film that aired on Virgin America, and if his dedication working with us on that project was an example, this soft-spoken, blonde-haired, Southern gentleman might just be the golden child the fashion world needs.
