Electronic exfoliation brushes are all over the market these days, and while the consumer may associate popularity with perfection in skin care, these tools can actually be quite harmful to the skin. Some of these brushes are too abrasive, and when combined with an uninformed consumer, can cause damage to delicate facial tissues. Additionally, users do no always remember to cleanse their tools after cleansing their faces. This fosters an environment where harmful bacterias can grow, and are then shoved into one’s pores with each use of the brush.
To combat this issue, Michael Todd has developed the first antimicrobial sonic skin cleansing system, which uses technology that reduces 99.9% of harmful bacteria on the brush—organically. The Soniclear uses a combination of “LIFE’s patent-pending organic antimicrobial technology with another EPA registered LIFE antimicrobial to render microbes unable to reproduce and interfere with their uptake of nutrients.” 1
The rechargeable scrub brush comes with two heads—for body and face—and has 6 different speed settings. To protect a consumer from unconsciously damaging their skin, the Soniclear has a built in timer that alerts the user when it is time to move on to a new area to cleanse. The a gentle system of 300 sonic pulses per second reaches into the pores for a deep clean, with the added benefit of their organic Charcoal Detox deep pore cleanser that leaves your skin smooth, soft, and glowy. I use it about twice a week when I feel like my skin needs a fresh breath of air, however it is gentle enough to use up to twice per day.
Additionally, Michael Todd offers an Eye Eraser to ward off dark circles—as writer and natural born night owl, I am always looking for a good product to help my eyes look like they got the rest I wish I had!
