It’s not often you encounter a cool and stylish sunglass brand, run by a couple of entrepreneurial celebrity dachshunds, with a K-9 philanthropic twist.
When Oscar & Frank launched in Australia in 2014, the dogs spent six months developing their bold and confident Wurst range which includes names such as Weiss wurst, Bier wurst and of course Brat wurst using high quality classic black, colored and speckled acetates.
Affordability combined with superior quality is the premise, with all styles retailing at 140 Euros or $150 US. All frames are hand crafted of high quality acetate, and with every pair sold, a dog in need is provided a week’s worth of food via the Bali Street Dog Fund. As Oscar & Frank put it, it’s “Dawgs helping Dawgs.”
Established in 1999, Bali Street Dogs addresses the welfare problems associated with the overwhelming number of dogs and cats on the Indonesian island, where people do not have the resources or knowledge to provide even the most basic care.
So it seems that every dog will have its day, if Oscar & Frank have anything to do with it.
