Good, Green, Glam

Letting your hair down and doing your face up, are never more appealing than when times are hard and your wallet is lean. It’s been a tough year and we can’t think of a better antidote to gear up for a fun and truly festive end to 2009, by kicking up your heels and going out on a high note with a healthy dose of glamour. The simplest things can make all the difference to how we feel; a new red lip can instantly update a tired and well-worn makeup routine; experimenting with a dramatic eye can make you feel sexy in an instant; and playing with colors you never believed would work is very invigorating! Lest you get worn out too soon with all the fabulous events happening on your social calendar, (your heels are killing you, your nails are worse for wear and your blowout is looking limp, etc…), we’ve got just the right tools to whip you back into shape… pronto!

Going straight from the office-to-out? Our multi-taskers will glamorize your look while streamlining the contents of your purse. Whatever you’re planning, just remember… have fun, and save the drama for your hot new party looks!

NOTE: ‘Letting your hair down and doing your face up’ – this line should be the header, leading into the rest of the text as a smaller font. Please let me know if that doesn’t make sense…

HEADER: COLOR YOUR WORLD.

Content: Having fun isn’t limited to the fabulous parties you’ll be attending and the hot new ‘ecotini’ you’ll be drinking this holiday season – one of the best ways to enjoy yourself is to splash around some color! The shade spectrum we usually see for the colder months is often so muted (think deep purple, blue, crimson, black, grey etc…), that it’s a refreshing change to see color being used with such abandon. Think of the 80’s where using less than three eyeshadow colors on your lids, artfully blended of course, was considered totally understated and boring. Shocking that you should be considered either of those, so whip out your wildest shades and get practicing – before the night of the party!

TITLE: COOL CONTRAST.

Content: While this may look ‘cooler than thou’, you too can tap into a darkly glamorous and slightly tough look with strikingly strong eyes and a nude lip. The stark contrast in tones plays well alongside a well-shaded and sharp looking cheekbone – the key here is to make sure you play up one feature and don’t strip back to completely neutral, or you’ll look washed out rather than edgy & sophisticated. Wearing an eye this dramatic requires an equally strong confidence to carry off, but make sure any drama is limited this holiday season to putting on a bold face and a spectacular dress!

TITLE: LIVING LUXE.

Content: Time to get your glam on with a new look for holiday season – one that embodies all that is luxe, elegant and rich with a focus on luscious looking lips. C’mon, just because your purse is feeling the pinch, doesn’t mean you can’t look like a million dollars. Whichever way you choose to play it, remember, opposites attract and create balance: pare a deconstructed eye with a sharp lip; a stained mouth with a polished eye; and a dark, dramatic pout with a smudgy swoosh of an eyeline. The key is don’t overdo it, keep it fresh, and if you don’t already have a stash of great red lipsticks in your makeup arsenal, here’s a selection of the most gorgeous around…
